Working to ensure that 100 million of the world's poorest families, especially the women of those families, are receiving credit for self-employment and other financial and business services by the year 2005.

The basic building block of the Microcredit Summit Campaign is the Institutional Action Plan. Each Council Member institution agrees to create its own Institutional Action Plan, specifying the contributions that it intends to make toward the fulfillment of the Summit's goal. An institutional action plan contains quantitative goals, a description of methods, and a time table.

To assist in the development of action plans that reflect the principles outlined in the Microcredit Summit Declaration and Plan of Action, and to facilitate the sharing of bold and innovative plans, the Secretariat developed Institutional Action Plan Forms. Council members are sent the appropriate action plan summaries, which are posted here as well.

We request that Institutional Action Plans be shared with the Secretariat by October 30th in order to be included in the 2007 State of the Microcredit Summit Campaign Report.
